Do you want to do more to help our planet? Well, if you’re reading this, you are looking in the right place. Here are five tips that will help you do more for our planet:
Volunteer in your community!
There is so much you can do in your own neighborhood. By working with members of your community, you can clean up any garbage left behind. This will help save the planet while also beautifying the community. You also can plant flowers and help build gardens all around your neighborhood. That way all those in your community can enjoy the space you have available.
Use less plastic!
When you go out shopping with your family, try to switch to reusable bags and buy products that use less plastic. That may be possible by buying in large quantities or buying from bulk bins where you can fill your own reusable bag. Try not to use plasticware at home and help your parents with the dishes. You can also try to make your own homemade dishes and drinks, such as fresh fruit juice, so you don’t need to buy bottles from the store.
Plant some trees!
Trees give off oxygen, something we need to breathe, and take in carbon dioxide. By planting more trees, you can allow for more oxygen to be expelled into the air, helping the planet. There are a lot of toxins in the air, and trees will help filter them out. You can start by growing trees in your home and when they are large enough, move them outside.
Conserve water!
Water is essential to not only our lives, but also the many plants and animals around us. It keeps us healthy and hydrated. That is why you should do your best to avoid wasting it. Try to take showers instead of baths and do your best to keep those showers short. Turn off the faucet when you're brushing your teeth. Conserve that water so there is more available for drinking!
Finally number five! Recycle, Recycle, Recycle!
Recycling can do a lot for the planet. One of the major issues our planet is facing currently is pollution. By recycling and promoting recycling in your community, you will help win the fight against pollution. Pollution decreases when recycling increases because it allows for less garbage to make its way to landfills. Garbage is also difficult to get rid of in these landfills and this takes up space and other resources. When recycling is not promoted, people are likely to not dispose of their waste properly and this can damage the environment of the community. Recycling will help reduce waste in the community and it saves resources, as it allows things like plastic and paper to be reused.
There are so many different ways you can help the planet. After trying out the activities mentioned above, you can venture out. You can start out by doing something you are passionate about and work from there, to create something that can help your community. Talk with friends and family to come up with even more ideas and work on them together. With everyone’s help, we can save the world.
